I work at Mei because it is a young international and dynamic team. The office deals with a wide variety of projects and approaches and this, for sure, gives a young architect the opportunity of both developing and really understanding on what he/she could be the best at.
My favorite building is Luchtsingel Bridge by ZUS in Rotterdam: for me this project was always inspiring as one of the best example of what, for me, our mission as architects working in contemporary cities should be: exploiting and preserving the existing, giving a quality boost through soft interventions and, last but not least, the collaboration within the main actors and users of architecture.
I am proud of the knowledge and different ways of approaching architecture I gained through my personal and professional experience, made possible particularly by meeting different cultures, approaches and people, inside and outside Italy.
Floria studied and obtained her Master Degree in Architecture at the Polytechnic School of Genoa. From 2017, she gained experience as designer in both Italy at llabb architects in Genoa and in Japan at Sou Fujimoto Architects, Tokyo.
