I work at Mei because of the cool transformation projects. First looking at what you have and the values a building or site has, can lead to beautiful projects, in which buildings get a new life and are again connected to their surroundings.
My favorite building is Het Predikheren in Mechelen. In this monastery that has been abandoned for a long time, with looking closely at the building and applying modest interventions a beautiful library was created which became a meeting place in the city and in which the atmosphere of the monastery is still present.
I am the most proud of this chance to work, after my studies at TU Delft, on cool projects that give buildings a new life and make the built environment a bit better.
