Over the past few weeks, TU Delft students examined the facade of the Schiecentrale and made a proposal for improvement, which fits right into the Lloydquarter.
‘We tried to create a design that focuses on the effects on the surrounding environment and can serve as an example,’ the students explained. A green facade on the outside of the galleries was chosen, which filters the sun and creates a pleasant climate. The new proposal fits nicely in the extention of, for example, the nature-inclusive SAWA, which will be built right in front of the Schiecentrale next year.Curious about the results?
The research group consisted of Puji Nata Djaja, Rafael Núñez Larios, Paul Brink and Rienk Feenstra.
