At the tail end of 2022, the transformation project on the Glashaven in Rotterdam called ‘Vitro’ has been completed! The last things were finished in December, and all residents have now moved into their new homes.
Commissioned by Accresco Vastgoed, Mei designed the transformation of Glashaven 8-12. With this transformation, the former office building was turned into 87 independent studios for students, communal and private outdoor spaces and a bicycle cellar with storerooms. The new three-storey volume floats, as it were, above the existing building and provides beautiful views of Rotterdam.
