Yesterday, our Mei and NICE colleagues Mark, Gijs, Iris, Meng, Thomas, and Luuk lined up at the start of the Triathlon for KiKa Rotterdam.
The idea of taking on this unique challenge was met with a lot of enthusiasm within Mei and NICE. Despite the intense heat, our colleagues pushed through and delivered an impressive performance. They should be really proud of that. But maybe what we’re even prouder of is the reason they showed up at the start: their support for Miles, Carmen, and their family.
Miles, the son of our colleague Carmen, has been fighting cancer since he was two years old. Luckily, things are currently going well for him, but the impact of this disease is still enormous, for Miles and his family.
To show support for Carmen, Miles, and their family, these six champions gave it their all. With their efforts, they raised over €1,500 for KiKa. A wonderful amount that contributes to research on childhood cancer and brings hope to children and families affected by it.
To our six sporty heroes: thank you for your effort, perseverance, and dedication. And to our biggest hero, Miles: we’ll keep cheering for you!
