I work at Mei because it is my passion to preserve the historic value of older buildings and giving them new a life. Mei’s expertise to work with monumental buildings and passion to give them a new rough but refined look really speaks to me.
My favourite building is Carlo Scarpa’s Brion Tomb. The use of rugged materials like concrete in combination with Scarpa’s unmatched attention to detail is something you rarely see.
I am most proud of the fact that I was able to continue to work here after my internship. The confidence in the work I do is something I really appreciate.
I am currently approaching the end of my bachelor HBO Bouwkunde at The Hague University Of Applied Sciences. After this my goal is to start the master Architecture at the Academie van Bouwkunst in Rotterdam. I started working here as an intern for my bachelor. I found Mei after a tour around the Fenix I building site.
