Recently, the team from Mei architects and planners visited the Sluisbuurt in Amsterdam, where two special Mei projects are taking shape. It was an inspiring moment to admire the work and the progress of the construction on site.
Plot 5A2: first residents have moved in
The residential building on plot 5A2 has now been completed, and the first residents have already moved in. The building offers student housing and was developed in collaboration with DUWO. The team had the opportunity to walk through the building and see how the design has come to life and is now inhabited. Many graphic elements by illustrator Stang have been integrated into the interior, and all signage in and around the building was also designed in collaboration with Stang.
Plot 6B2: façade installation in full swing
Construction on plot 6B2 is still in full progress. Here, the façade is currently being installed, which was designed by Mei together with artist and illustrator Stang. His playful illustrations give the building a unique character and a recognizable identity.
