Last Thursday, team Mei went to the Cable District in Delft for a real padel tournament at PadelCity. Divided over four courts, colleagues competed together with their friends or partner. Experienced or inexperienced; with a bit of strategy and teamwork, the teams tried to outwit their opponents and hit the ball over the net. We ended with a well-deserved drink at the bar. Worth repeating!
PadelCity is part of the temporary programming of the Kabeldistrict, for which Mei is designing the master plan. In a few years’ time, the factory will transform from an industrial site into a dynamic live/work area. The Kabeldistrict builds on existing qualities, activity and the industrial past of the existing extensive Cable Factory. The visible fusion of old and new creates its own identity, contributing to a strong cohesion and connection between future entrepreneurs and residents. With its high degree of circularity and layered integration of greenery and water, Delft is leading the way in productive and sustainable area development.
