The 39th edition of the Architecture in the Netherlands Yearbook from nai010 publishers has been presented! The Architecture Yearbook is one of the most prestigious architecture publications in the Netherlands, and our partner Robert Winkel was able to receive the first copy on behalf of Mei architects and planners and Nice Developers.
Out of no less than 160 submissions, SAWA was selected as one of the 25 leading projects presented in the book. That SAWA moreover received a spot on the cover, we see as a special honor and a beautiful recognition of what SAWA stands for and for everyone who has contributed to this unique project.
In the coming years, SAWA will gradually transform from a wooden icon into a green oasis with increasingly mature vegetation. From the beginning, we have wanted to demonstrate with SAWA that it is possible to create sustainable and affordable homes for a socially inclusive community.
We extend our thanks to all partners, stakeholders, and professionals who have contributed to the realization of SAWA. And of course, we want to thank all the residents, who together make SAWA more than just a residential building.
