On the 17th of September, the exhibition ‘Rotterdam and Mei’ will open at gallery OMI. The exhibition highlights the biggest Rotterdam projects that Mei has realized over the years, including the award-winning transformation of Fenix I, the Jobsveem warehouse, the renovation of the Lijnbaan and the new McDonald’s pavilion. The exhibition will show beautiful new photos by Ossip van Duivenbode, as well as original materials and detailed scale models of the various projects.
‘Mei always gives a unique interpretation to the different time layers in the city. The exhibition pays attention to their work and method; a special combination of renovation, redesignation and renewal.’
The exhibition can be visited from September 17 to November 21, 2020, during the opening hours of OMI Rotterdam. During the Day of Architecture Rotterdam, on September 12th, the exhibition can already be visited as a preview. More information can be found at the website of OMI.
