New renders and first six apartments of SAWA now online

SAWA is looking for pioneers

The floor plans and information of the first six apartments in SAWA are online and registrations are open only this week. SAWA will be the first 50-meter-high wooden residential building in Rotterdam. The stunning new renders put the project in perspective; a lively neighborhood where healthy living and community are key.

For the first apartments, the developers are looking for pioneers who like the adventure and want to be assured of an apartment in SAWA, while it is still being developed. Interested? Registrations are open until July 19th.

In the past few weeks there have been many (online) conversations with people who would like to live in SAWA. About the importance of biodiversity, building in wood and the way in which the sharing economy is applied in the building. The future residents and neighborhood have shown great interest in SAWA during the ‘Maak SAWA Mee’ evenings. The question: “When do the houses go on sale?” Is certainly the most frequently asked question, while the plan is still being developed. Nice Developers and ERA Contour are looking for people who want to live in SAWA, dare to take on the challenge and who like to think along.

All information, prices and plans of the six houses are now online at www.woneninsawa.nl. You can register for a reservation from July 13 to July 19, 2020.

Brand new renders
This week we reveal six new renders, that clearly show how SAWA, with its characteristic shape, connects to the surrounding buildings. The spacious green terraces bring the building to life and form a distinctive quality within the Lloydkwartier.

Generous green terraces and healthy living environment
In total, approximately 59 owner-occupied homes and 50 medium-rent homes will become available. SAWA symbolizes a new generation of buildings. It is built in CLT (cross laminated timber) and the design contributes to a healthy living environment. The building is designed in collaboration with city ecologists. The greenery is integrated into balconies, spacious terraces, and a communal deck. In addition to generous outdoor spaces, all homes will have an amazing view at the city, the Maas and the Schiehaven, and all apartments allow a flexible layout.

Cooperating parties
Mei architects and planners designs SAWA on behalf of Nice Developers and ERA Contour. Throughout the years, Mei has gained significant experience in the Lloydquarter, where the bureau designed the Schiecentrale and the Jobsveem, among others. After the monumental Fenix I warehouse, for which the agency received many prizes, SAWA is the agency’s next Rotterdam project with high expectations. As a broker of SAWA, the team of Kettner Makelaardij has joined.
