On July 3, 2019 Michiel van Loon gave a presentation about the importance of community building during the seminar ‘Stadswijk van de toekomst’ at Architecture centre Aorta in Utrecht. He spoke about the importance of including (future) users during the design process and the creation of communities. His presentation was supported by strong Mei reference projects like de Verkenner, Kabeldistrict Delft and Fenix I. The evening was archived both in text and image. Architecture historian Martine Bakker wrote the blog: “A loving Boogie Woogie” (in Dutch), and cartoonist Ronald van der Heide created a visual report.
