Mei’s McDonald’s Rotterdam is nominated for BNA Best Building of the Year 2016! Out of a total of 125 entries, the jury finally selected eight buildings in three categories. McDonald’s is finalist in the category Identity & Iconic Value. Candidates in the same categorie are tennis clubhouse IJburg and an underground parking garage in Katwijk aan Zee.
The new McDonald’s has been published worldwide in 14 different languages. In a recent article on Dezeen this pavilion featured as one of the ’17 projects helping to transform Rotterdam’ and thus acts as a new icon for Rotterdam City of Architecture.
