The book presents the interiors of 24 loft apartments and penthouses in the Jobsveem warehouse, a listed building dating from 1912. What is unique about this book is that the residents of Jobsveem themselves took the initiative for the publication, which illustrates just how proud they are of ‘their building’ and their homes. No wonder Mei sees this as a token of appreciation as well as a real boost.
Photographer Peter Kooijman took pictures of 24 homes. His images of the interiors, exterior and surrounding terraces, complemented by floor plans and portraits of residents in words and pictures, offer wonderful insight into the variety and diversity that has blossomed here. The result is a book that inspires and stimulates.
