Gasometer wins Architecture MasterPrize 2024 in Conceptual Architecture

Our transformative Gasometer project has once again been recognized on the international stage! This time, it has been awarded the prestigious Architecture MasterPrize 2024 in the category Conceptual Architecture. This marks the culmination of a remarkable year for the Gasometer, with multiple awards highlighting its innovative and sustainable design.

A milestone in sustainable transformation

The Gasometer in Münster is a prime example of how industrial heritage can be reimagined for the future. Once an industrial gas holder, the building is being transformed into a nature-inclusive residential tower surrounded by a vibrant park. With its blend of iconic industrial character, sustainable living, and community focus, the Gasometer continues to make a global impression.

A year of milestones

The Architecture MasterPrize is the final accolade for the Gasometer this year, adding to an impressive list of honors that includes the DNA Paris Design Award 2024, Iconic Awards 2024 – Best of Best, and the WAFX Award 2024. Gasometer is the third project by Mei to win an Architecture MasterPrize, following in the footsteps of Fenix I and SAWA. We are proud to see this project—and our vision for a sustainable and inclusive future—recognized worldwide.
