Fenix I has been nominated for the Nationale Staalprijs 2020, in the Residential Building category! The building’s greatest technical challenge was the immense table construction of approximately 1 kiloton of steel, which allowed the monumental warehouse to be preserved as much as possible. The professional jury nominated Fenix I out of 116 submitted projects. Other nominees for Residential Building are the Pontsteiger in Amsterdam and the Extension Park Hoog Oostduin in The Hague. The winners will be announced on Tuesday October 13.
