After the completion of De Generaal in Rijswijk last month, Conny Janssen Danst gave a unique performance in one of the apartments of the transformed building. The collaboration between Mei and Conny Janssen Danst is an ode to the cultural sector, which was hit hard during the corona crisis. During an improvisation session, the dancers brought the space to life. With the lavishly large windows and the astonishing view, De Generaal proved to be the perfect setting for the almost cinematic movements of the professional dancers.
De Generaal, the former head office of the tax authorities, was transformed last year into a spacious, flexible and sustainable apartment building for young people and seniors. Prior to the improvisation session, fragments from the brand-new choreography of the production FRAMED were also recorded at De Generaal.
