Robert Winkel and Robert Platje were guests on the World Build Podcast of World Architecture News on August 2 to talk about SAWA, CLT, and sustainability.

SAWA is a unique 15-story wooden residential building in the heart of the Lloydkwartier in Rotterdam. What is exceptional about SAWA is that the building will be built entirely in CLT (cross-laminated timber), making it the first fully wooden residential building 50 meters high in Rotterdam. After winning international prizes such as the Green GOOD DESIGN Award, ARC20 Innovation Award, and AR Future Project Award, SAWA is internationally in the spotlight.

Robert Winkel and Robert Platje answer questions about SAWA and how the local residents of the Lloydkwartier are involved in the development, what the advantages come with cross-laminated timber construction and how the balconies are planted sustainable.
